Announcing Pumpware Integration with GPS

After two careful years of planning and development, Waresystems (Pumpware) is planning the release of its dispatching software newly integrated with GPS tracking.

Enabling dispatchers to benefit from all the features GPS tracking provides, this software upgrade adds visuals of the day’s job sites on the same map as the trucks. Pumpware can now pass job site and truck information to the GPS provider which, in turn, will lay the additional data on the same aerial map used to display truck location.

A mouse-over icon movement will display job site or truck information for easy identification of what is happening on any given day. Moreover, depending on job status, the icon color of the job site will turn the same color the dispatcher is familiar with on the Pumpware dispatching screen.

Through the use of satellite-based GPS and a 7" in-cab touch screen monitor, directions to the next job can also be passed directly to the operator. This eliminates the operator having to scribble down hand held phone messages from the dispatcher. Directions will remain on the screen as long as the operator needs them. In addition, the monitor allows the operator to transmit job status to the dispatcher with a simple touch of the screen.

The PTO will be wired up front, so reporting of pumping time will be readily available. All data collected is time stamped and contained within an open database. This means the data is readily accessible and can be analyzed by third party software.

The GPS system operates on multiple major cellular carriers such as Sprint, Verizon, Cingular (ATT Wireless) and others. At least 10 sensor inputs are possible and this is expandable to 30 inputs.

With full computer capabilities within the cab of the truck, Waresystems plans future functionality to include on site invoice printing, credit card processing, job ticket printing and much more. The sky is the limit.
